DYXnet Cloud Data Safe (CDS) Service equips with a full range of  enterprise-class features for backing up data stored in database servers, email servers, file servers and even desktops and notebooks through secure Internet access. CDS provides secure online backup and disaster recovery services to customers. The architecture of CDS is a disk-to-disk-to-disk (D2D2D) design. A client-side application is required to be set up on each of the protected servers and it comes with two versions representing two classes of services, namely, CDS and CDS Pro.
CDS is built on top of our state-of-the-art Cloud Dedicated Hosting (CDH) platform. This platform is designed with highly performed and fully redundant features to satisfy intensive and ever-changing enterprise demands. All network storage devices have redundant disk controllers, RAID + Hot Spare hard disk protection and redundant SAN path. CDS management service is installed in redundant server resource pool with redundant WAN path. What is more, all storage devices and servers are running with cloud aware operating system which guarantees high performance, high availability and high scalability.
1. CDS
Features include:
- In-File Delta (Incremental): delta changes will be saved with reference to previous backup
- Volume Shadow Copy: Support for backup of opened/locked files in MS Windows
- Compression and AES 256-bit encryption supported
- Self-administration interfaces
- Software agent: viewing and controlling backup behavior at the server
- Web interface at management server hosted at DYXnet allowing viewing and controlling backup behavior through web browser
- Software agent supports MS Windows 32/64-bit (XP, Vista, 7, Server 2003, 2003R2, 2008, 2008R2) and MacOS X 10.3-10.6
2. CDS Pro
Features include:
- In-File Delta (Incremental or Differential)
- Incremental: delta changes will be saved with reference to previous backup
- Differential: delta changes will be saved with reference to the previous full backup
- Volume Shadow Copy: Support for backup of opened/locked files in MS Windows
- Windows System Backup and Restoration (Bare Metal Restore, support MS Windows Server only)
- Application database backup (MS Exchange 2000/2003/2007/2010, MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2008R2, Oracle 10g/11g/11gR2, IBM Domino / Notes 7.0/8.0/8.5, MySQL 5.0/5.1)
- Compression and AES 256-bit encryption supported

3. Cloud Storage
Either CDS or CDS Pro is linked to a cloud storage space at CDH platform (Same Site Cloud Storage). Customer selects a size in GB that best fits the needs to store all the backup files transferred from the client-side application.
4. Off-Site Cloud Storage
Off-site data preservation is also available by 1:1 replication of data between Same Site Cloud Storage and Off Site Cloud Storage which is located at a different Internet Data Centre (IDC) in another building.
