Our crew\u2019s dedication paid off when we finished the race as 1st runner-up out of five teams.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year saw DYXnet Group \u2013 Greater China\u2019s leading carrier-neutral network service provider \u2013 sponsoring the event for the fourth time since 2012 and playing a central role in raising funds to purchase nutritious fresh fish for underprivileged families in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The crew was decked out in specially designed T-shirts and wielded carbon-fibre paddles sporting a graphic based on the dragon, a symbol of great power and a determination-to-win in Chinese culture. They were cheered on by an enthusiastic group of colleagues and family members, who sought to generate a carnival atmosphere around our team.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lap Man said: \u201cI have been so proud to see DYXnet staff and family members willing to sacrifice their leisure time in order to represent the company to the very best of their ability. The team spirit and camaraderie they have built is powerful enough to move mountains \u2013 at work and at play!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cDragon boat racing is a treasured tradition in Hong Kong, based on a truly vibrant aspect of Chinese culture \u2013 and we plan to support the Charity Cup race in years to come. This fits snugly with DYXnet\u2019s ongoing desire to help low income families, as a socially responsible corporate citizen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Five days before the race, Floria Chan \u2013 DYXnet\u2019s Marketing &amp; Corporate Communications Group Director \u2013 rolled up her sleeves to help hand out fresh fish to low income families.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Family + Fish Charity Cup race has been organised every year by the Aberdeen Dragon Boat Race Committee since 2012, with the aim of raising funds to purchase some 3,000 pieces of nutritious fish for low income families and the elderly in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>DYXnet Founder &amp; CEO Lap Man joined forces with Mr Lau Kong-wah, JP \u2013 the HKSAR Government\u2019s Secretary for Home Affairs \u2013 after the race to present prizes to winners.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"># # #<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":10036,"parent":0,"template":"","categories":[],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.9 -
